11 Days Kenya & Tanzania Migration Safari

Day 1: 2021/2022 Arrival-Arusha

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport you will be met and transferred to Eka hotel for overnight on Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: 2021/2022 Nairobi – Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked by your safari guide and drive to Amboseli national park for the game drive. Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Breakfast, lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person. 

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds, the name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 3: 2021/2022 Full Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked for your full day game drive in Amboseli national park. Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Amboseli National Park is the park which consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there are a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms.

Day 4: 2021/2022 Amboseli – Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will be picked from Amboseli and drive to Tanzania via Namanga border where you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation area .Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Day 5: 2021/2022 Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti

At 6:30 am breakfast, descend into the crater for a crater game tour.

Later on you will drive to Serengeti national park. Overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Day 6: 2021/2022 Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, you will drive from central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti and enjoy game drive on the way. Overnight at Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp.

The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June – December) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.

Day 7 & 8: 2021/2022 Full Northern Serengeti

Today breakfast you will have full day game drive in Serengeti. Overnight at Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures Each year this huge herd of wildebeest (along with over 200,000 zebra and gazelle) migrate in a clockwise direction around the Serengeti, up to the Masai Mara in Kenya and then back down to the Serengeti to have their young (over 8000 wildebeest are born a day between mid Feb and mid March). Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is Northern Serengeti.

Day 9: 2021/2022 Serengeti – Masai Mara

After breakfast you will driving to Isebania Tanzania/Kenya Boarder then drive to Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. Enjoy the afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Breakfast Lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai Mara is the home of the big 5 as well as the best place to witness the annual wildebeest migration taking place this July/August Lunch break en-route so that you drive straight to the park for your afternoon game drive until late evening.

Day 10: 2021/2022 Full Masai Mara

Today after the breakfast you will be picked and proceed with your game drive in Masai mara.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Breakfast Lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai mara is situated in the southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.

Day 11: 2021/2022 Masai Mara-Departure

Today you will have your half day game drive in Masai Mara game reserve and later on the day you will drive to Nairobi and proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
