14 Days Kenya and Tanzania Bush Safari to Beach Holiday

Day 1: 2021/2022 Arrival – Arusha

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport you will be met and transferred to Eka hotel for overnight you will be booked at this hotel on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: 2021/2022 Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Today after the breakfast you will be picked up by your safari guide and drive to Lake Nakuru National park. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in the rift valley of Kenya and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. 

Day 3: 2021/2022 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Today after the breakfast you will be picked up by your safari guide and drive to famous Masai Mara game reserve. Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai Mara is the home of the big 5 as well as the best place to witness the annual wildebeest migration taking place this July/August Lunch break en-route so that you drive straight to the park for your afternoon game drive until late evening

Day 4: 2021/2022 Full Masai Mara

Breakfast you will drive to different parties in the world famous Masai Mara.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp Breakfast Lunch and dinner provided.

Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai mara is situated in the southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.

Day 5: 2021/2022 Masai Mara – North Serengeti

After breakfast you will have morning game drive and driving to Isebania Tanzania/Kenya Boarder and get your visa and then drive to Northern Serengeti, where you will have day to the northern part of Serengeti (where the migration should be in July) near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migratory crossing. Overnight at Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures. Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at Serengeti

Day 6: 2021/2022 Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

After breakfast you will be picked up from Northern Serengeti and drive to the central, enjoy the game drive on the way to central Serengeti. Overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp.

The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains.

Day 7: 2020/2022 – Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Have the morning Serengeti and then after lunch drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in the Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River.

Day 8: 2021/2022 Ngorongoro – Karatu

After breakfast descend into the crater for a crater game drive. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner provided.

Overnight at Tloma Lodge.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Day 9: 2021/2022 Lake Manyara – Zanzibar

Today after breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by your safari guide and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. For a game drive. Later on the day you will drive back to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro International airport for your flight to Zanzibar for overnight at Tembo hotel.

Breakfast and lunch dinner will be provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Lake Manyara is a beautiful little park which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals considering its small size. A short visit to this serene park will greatly diversify your safari experience as the lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to the other parks you will visit during your safari.

Day 10: 2021/2022 Zanzibar

At 9am you will be picked from the hotel and taken on a Stone Tour which will take you through fabled Stone town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the house of wonders, the palace museum (People’s Palace), Dr Livingston’s house and the Arab fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques.

After lunch, you will be taken by boat to Prison Island to see the turtles and you have snorkeling.

Later after all excision you will drive to Z Hotel on bed and breakfast.

Day 11 & 13: 2021/2022 North Zanzibar 

Enjoy the beach!

Overnight at Z Hotel again, on Bed and breakfast.

Note that there are generally no ATM’s in the beach area so best to exchange/withdraw cash in Stone town before continuing to the north of Zanzibar. Please also note, there is a ~5% bank imposed surcharge on all credit/debit card transactions across the Island.

Day 14: 2021/2022 Zanzibar – Departure

Today you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home
