15 Days Private Spectacular Migration Safari to Kenya & Tanznia

Day 1: 2021/2022 Arrival – Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport you will be met an transferred to EKA hotel for overnight on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: 2021/ 2022 Nairobi – Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked by your safari guide and drive to Amboseli national park for the game drive Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Breakfast, lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds, the name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 3: 2021/2022 Full Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked for your full day game drive in Amboseli national park. Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Amboseli National Park is the park which consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there are a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms.

Day 4: 2021/2021 Amboseli – Arusha

Today you will be picked from Amboseli and drive to Tanzania via Namanga border and drive to Arusha town Overnight at Mt Meru hotel https://www.mountmeruhotel.co.tz/on bed and breakfast.

Day 5: 2021/2022 Arusha – Tarangire 

Today after breakfast, you will be picked up from hotel by your safari guide and driven to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy the wildlife. Overnight at Lake Burunge Tented Lodge.

Tarangire National Park is almost 3000 sq km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June – November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti (since enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water). With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River the park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.

Day 6: 2021/2022 Tarangire – Lake Manyara

Today after breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. For a game drive. Overnight at Tloma Lodge.

Breakfast lunch and dinner will be provided.

Lake Manyara is a beautiful little park which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals considering its small size. A short visit to this serene park will greatly diversify your safari experience as the lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to the other parks you will visit during your safari.

Day 7: 2021/2022 Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti

At 6:30 am breakfast, descend into the crater for a crater game tour.

Later on you will drive to Serengeti national park. Overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Day 8: 2021/2022 Full Serengeti

Today after the breakfast you proceeding with your game drive in Serengeti National Park.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive! .Dinner and overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains.

Day 9 & 10: 2021/2022 Central Serengeti – North Serengeti

Today you will drive to Northern Serengeti you will have 2 days game drive to the northern part of Serengeti (where the migration should be in July/Nov) near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migratory crossing. Overnight at Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures. Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at Serengeti.

Day 11: 2021/2022 Serengeti – Masai Mara

After breakfast you will driving to Isebania Tanzania/Kenya Boarder then drive to Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. Enjoy the afternoon game drive.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Breakfast Lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai Mara is the home of the big 5 as well as the best place to witness the annual wildebeest migration taking place this July/August Lunch break en-route so that you drive straight to the park for your afternoon game drive until late evening.

Day 12 &13: 2021/2022 Masai Mara

Today after the breakfast you will be picked and proceed with your game drive in Masai Mara.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Breakfast Lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Masai mara is situated in the southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.

Day 14: 2021/2022 Masai Mara – Nairobi

Today you will have your game drive in Masai mara game reserve and later on the day you will drive to Nairobi city. Overnight at EKA hotel.

Day 15: 2021/2022 Nairobi – Departure

Today you will be picked from the hotel and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
