9 Days Private Camping Safari to Kenya & Tanzania National Parks

Day 1: 2021/2022 Nairobi – Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked (Picked up point to advised) by your safari guide and drive to Amboseli national park for the game drive. Overnight at Public Campsite (inside the park).

Lunch and Dinner provided Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds, the name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 2: 2021/2022 Full Amboseli

Today after the breakfast you will be picked for your full day game drive in Amboseli national park.

Overnight at Public Campsite (inside the park).

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Amboseli National Park is the park which consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there are a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms.

Day 3: 2021/2022 Amboseli – Masai Mara

Today you will be picked by safari guide from Amboseli National park and drive to the famous Masai Mara game reserve. Enjoy game drive before moving onto Rhino Tourist Camp.

Masai Mara is situated in the southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.

Day 4: 2021/2022 Full Masai Mara

Breakfast then proceed with your game drive in Masai mara.

Overnight at Rhino Tourist Camp.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Day 5: 2021/2022 Masai Mara

All day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and stay.

Overnight at Rhino Tourist Camp.

Day 6: 2021/2022 Masai Mara – Serengeti

After breakfast you will driving to Isebania Tanzania/Kenya Boarder and get your visa and then drive to northern part of Serengeti (where the migration should be in August) where you will have day game drive near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migratory crossing. Overnight at Kogatende Public Campsite. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures. Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at Serengeti.

Day 7: 2021/2022 Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will drive back to central Serengeti and enjoy game drive on the way back.

Overnight at Pimbi Public Campsite.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June – November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.

Day 8: 2021/2022 Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Today in the early morning you will drive from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descend into the crater for a crater game tour. Overnight at Simba Public Campsite.

Breakfast lunch and Dinner provided. Drinking water will be provided every day per person.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Day 9: 2021/2022 Lake Manyara – Arusha

Today after breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by your safari guide and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. For game drive.

Later on the day you will drive back to Arusha for drop off (Drop off point to be advised).

Lake Manyara is a beautiful little park which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals considering its small size. A short visit to this serene park will greatly diversify your safari experience as the lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to the other parks you will visit during your safari.
